Santiago de Guayaquil es la ciudad con más población de Ecuador. La ciudad es muy diversa y sigue en crecimiento, siendo sede del mayor puerto del país. Se encuentra en la costa ecuatoriana, cerca del Océano Pacífico y ubicada en la derecha del río Guayas.
Por su ubicación en plena zona ecuatorial, la ciudad tiene un clima muy agradable con una temperatura cálida durante casi todo el año.
Respecto a la gastronomía, dentro de los platos típicos guayaquileños se puede destacar el arroz con menestra y carne asada
