Maó es una ciudad situada en el este de Menorca y la capital de la isla balear.
En la costa norte se hallan Es Grau, con una albufera y una playa de aguas tranquilas, Sa Mesquida, con su torre de vigilancia, y el pequeño núcleo de Es Murtà.
