Nace la Fundación para la Promoción el Turismo de Negocios
Presidida por Fernando Armendáriz, esta Fundación se ha marcado como reto constituirse como un lugar de encuentro de los profesionales del sector de turismo de negocios para analizar propuestas, “discutir problemas comunes, buscar soluciones y principalmente acometer acciones que contribuyan eficazmente al desarrollo, afianzamiento y promoción de este importante segmento del turismo en nuestro paÃs”.
El turismo de reuniones crecerá en España un 78% en los próximos diez años, ya que se trata de un sector que contribuye a desestacionalizar el turismo español, creando nuevos destinos y nuevas épocas turÃsticas.
La actividad generada por este tipo de eventos se ha quintuplicado en los diez últimos años, en los que el gasto medio por participante en este segmento económico se ha consolidado con una media de 600 euros diarios en ciudades de más de un millón de habitantes.
