La Concanaco afirma que los servicios y el turismo crecerán este año 2008 incluso más que la economía de México.

22 millones de turistas extranjeros se espera que visiten el país para el cierre del año, con una derrama de 13 mil millones de dólares.

486dólares en promedio gastará cada turista, lo que generará una balanza superavitaria de 4,800 millones de dólares. El gasto medio hasta octubre fue superior en más de 10 dólares al registro de enero.

2.5 millones de empleos directos genera el turismo nacional y cerca de 57 millones de turistas nacionales hay al año en el país, según la Concanaco.
